Jaya is our expedition vessel. She moves seasonally between Komodo, Raja Ampat, and long-range expeditions.

Built in 1999, she has sailed and ventured the waters of South East Asia with her faithful captain, who has been running the boat since the beginning.

Komodo offers an incredible variety of diving. Colourful reefs, strong currents, big fish action and calmer bays all exist side by side. Traveling by liveaboard allows us to explore this diversity properly, rather than rushing between fixed locations.

✪‍ ‍Experienced guides who know Komodo well

Komodo is a dynamic dive environment shaped by strong tides and constantly changing conditions. Our guides have years of experience diving in Komodo and know how currents, timing and site selection work together. This local knowledge allows us to plan dives carefully and adapt when needed — keeping dives safe, relaxed and genuinely enjoyable.

✪‍ ‍Small groups, better diving

We prefer quiet dive sites over crowded ones. That’s why we limit dive groups to a maximum of 4 guests per guide and actively avoid peak times whenever possible. Fewer divers means calmer dives, better positioning and more time to enjoy what’s around you.

✪‍ ‍Safety comes first

Safety is never rushed or compromised. Before every dive, conditions and currents are carefully checked to ensure the site is suitable for everyone onboard. Each dive is preceded by a clear and thorough briefing, so you know what to expect before entering the water.

Our crew genuinely cares about the ocean and the places we visit. We are mindful of the impact we have and do our best to keep it to a minimum. We run our boats as responsibly as realistically possible and serve fresh, locally sourced food whenever availability allows.

  • My, what an experience it was

    Stunning reefs, epic marine encounters, and wonderful people. The crew run the boat (Jaya) like a well oiled machine ready. The food was absolutely delicious and we were never hungry - I’m a large fella and eat a lot. Small group sizes for dives - on our trip it was 4 to a guide max. Special shoutout to our dive guide Fandy, gave us the freedom we wanted to explore yet also found lots of cool critters, he has incredible patience and a wonderful calm demeanor. Would book again in a heartbeat.

  • This was an AMAZING experience!

    We went on the Epica liveaboard. The crew was super professional and we felt SUPER safe, which is not a given when it comes to scuba diving. Fiona was our instructor, and she was super professional, we had good banter and she was really helpful! The crew was so nice and the food was amazing - shout out to the chef, Henry! Erik made sure that the diving was magical 😍

  • Trip of a lifetime, cool group and cool dives

    I had an amazing time on Jaya. The trip was very well organized, I enjoyed all the activities on and off board. The diving was spectacular and so were the land visits we did. We had a really fun group that paired also well with the guides. Rachel, Erika, Fandi and Ed our dive guides made sure we had great experiences under water and everyone sticked to the explained safety rules. I will definitely be back on Jaya!

  • Jaya Magic, Diving, Dolphins and the Best Crew at Sea

    Fantastic Liveaboard Experience on the Jaya, it exceeded every expectation. Eduard and Fandi are outstanding guides and pointed out so much marine life I would have missed on my own: sharks, squid, electric clams etc. Their passion and expertise made every dive unforgettable. There were several guests on board who were returning for their third time—if that doesn’t tell you how special the Jaya is, nothing will. Highly recommend.

  • My trip with Scuba Republic on the Epica was honestly epic!!

    Everything was above expectations aboard Epica — the crew was super friendly, the instructors were involved and passionate, everything was very well organised and the vibe on board was warm, fun, and instantly social. It really felt like traveling with one big ocean-loving family.

    And Raja Ampat… just wow! The place is pure untouched beauty. From the crystal-blue water to the small vibrant villages and the unreal diverse underwater world, every dive felt magical.

  • Amazing experience aboard the Jaya

    Spending 7 days aboard the Jaya has been amazing! Not only because of the spectacular landscape and its waters, but also because of the good atmosphere we had on board. Rachel and Erica are great, funny, and approachable. We were lucky enough to do our dives with Eduard, and we really had a great time. He cared a lot about us, he was constantly looking for things and you could tell that he knew the area perfectly.I recommend the experience 100%!

  • From start to finish, everything was incredible, the diving, the people, the atmosphere.

    We just spent an amazing week with Scuba Republic on Epica liveaboard in Raja Ampat, and it honestly couldn’t have been better!
    The whole crew was simply amazing too, friendly, helpful, and always smiling. You could really feel how much they love what they do.
