Komodo Liveaboards

Looking for an affordable Komodo Liveaboard for your next diving holiday? Komodo National Park includes one of the richest marine environments in the world including coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, seamounts, and semi-enclosed bays. And not to forget the Komodo Dragons!

Komodo National Park includes one of the richest marine environments in the world including coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, seamounts, and semi-enclosed bays. A Liveaboard trip in Komodo is the perfect way to find them all.

An incredible array of rich marine life is waiting for all types of divers. From brilliantly coloured reefs teeming with fishes and invertebrates to roaming shoals of fishes scattered by giant trevallies, white and black tip reef sharks as well as the occasional turtle paddling by.

Due to its strong tidal currents, the timing of a dive is crucial. The easiest way to be at the right place at the right time is by joining our Komodo liveaboard. Our local Fleet consists of two budget-friendly, comfortable boats. Busy Girl’s permanent home is the Komodo National Park, where she seeks the thrill of currents with only 4 divers at a time. The Bajak is the bigger, newer version of Busy Girl with its capacity of 10 people. The Jaya is more migratory in nature and moves seasonally between Komodo and Raja Ampat. She caters to a maximum of 14 divers.

Our professional crew has years of experience and is intimately familiar with the region and its challenges. During the trip, safety is always a priority when choosing dive sites and dive profiles. Before every dive, currents and conditions are checked to make sure the site is suitable for all divers. A comprehensive briefing on topography, currents and possible marine life encounters precedes all water activities.

As much as we enjoy crowded dive sites, we prefer the fishy variation. We try to avoid the rush hours and limit our dive groups to 4 guests per guide.

Every staff member of Scuba Republic’s Komodo liveaboards is passionate about marine life and our environment. We are conscious of the impact we have on it and do our best to keep it to a minimum. We run our boats as eco-friendly as reality and budget allow and serve fresh, locally-produced food within the limits of availability.

We are looking forward to taking you on an epic journey through the land of the dragons!

Komodo Liveaboard Trips depart from our Komodo Dive Center.

The newest addition to our Scuba Republic Indonesia family.

Bajak laut means sea pirate in Javanese. With 28 meters length and 8 meters beam, Bajak Komodo has a lot of space for a maximum of 14 guests and free areas with bean bags and sun mattresses for you to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery and the breeze between & after dives.

She is a beautiful vessel for Komodo adventure trips of all kinds – we offer either open diving cruises or full charters, on which we can create the perfect holiday custom-shaped to your desires of a Komodo Liveaboard trip.

The Jaya is our expedition vessel. She moves seasonally between Komodo, Raja Ampat, and long-range expeditions.
This boat is completely hand-built over the course of eighteen months and looks stunning with her six sails up. The upper deck has plenty of shaded space for lounging, napping, eating, or just enjoying the breathtaking scenery as it quietly passes by. It includes several separate tables with round-the-edge seating so that you can spread out in the space in between dives.

On the sun deck area, you find beanbags for your afternoon nap, sunbathing, or for star gazing at night. The dive deck is equipped with tank spaces around the edge while the centre provides room to store fins and masks, hanging space for wetsuits, and freshwater containers for torches and cameras.

Busy Girl is the perfect floating getaway home, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

Busy Girl stays in the Komodo National Park all year round. Originally a former Australian fishing boat built from Tasmanian Pine, Busy Girl was redesigned as a Diving & Cruising Vessel in 2011 to comfortably accommodate 4 guests.

Equipped with both inside and outside dining areas as well as a chill-out deck with beanbags, the Busy Girl provides ample intimate spaces for taking in the vistas, eating, and socializing. Below deck, she features a double cabin with an ensuite bathroom and a twin cabin with a shared bathroom, both providing complimentary shampoo and soap. The cabins each have air-con that can be controlled individually.

The dive deck is at sea level, with 2 tank stations per diver, allowing us to fill the spare tanks while we are off diving so that the boat remains as quiet as possible between dives and overnight. The 3 crew members make sure that Busy Girl runs as smoothly as possible and your Cruise Director takes care of your diving- & excursion plans and wishes.

Busy Girl may be small, but her size and agility allow us to approach most dive sites directly, entering the water with a giant stride or by a short ride in our tender.
